In partnership with Sageland Collaborative, Swaner Preserve, and Summit County, join Basin Recreation and help build Beaver Dam Analogs (BDA's) along East Canyon Creek! Build days will be held on September 23 and September 24. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for one or both days!

Beaver dam analogs, or BDAs, are woody structures used to restore wetland habitats. BDA’s work to mimic natural beaver dams to slow down water flow, raise the water table, and create habitats for local flora and fauna. Volunteers will assist in all aspects of BDA installation, from harvesting willows to building dams!

Tools, training, and some waders will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own. Be prepared to be knee deep in the water and get messy!
