Yoga in the Park

It is one of our favorite summer traditions and, due to its popularity, we have added the entire month of September to the mix. Kick off your weekends in a peaceful way with Basin Recreation’s free Yoga in the Park. Let Jenessa lead you through a series of poses sure to reset your mind after the work week. Please bring your mat, water, sunscreen, and friends and family.

On Saturday, August 24 and Saturday, September 28, Paws For Life Utah will be hosting pet adoptions after class and collecting donations. Paws For Life Utah is a non-profit, volunteer-run prganization dedicated to helping homeless dogs, cats, and other “at risk” animals from municipal shelters find forever homes. After yoga, enjoy shopping with local businesses to support our furry friends. There will be clothing, dog gear, goodies, and prizes! Don’t forget to check the adoption booth.

Run for Recreation

Basin Recreation and Park City Recreation are joining forces to host the first-ever Run for Recreation. Show your support of everything recreation and join us for a fun 6-mile downhill run. Start at the PC MARC, enjoying the trail connectivity as you pass by parks and end at The Fieldhouse. Bring the whole family and enjoy a party with bounce houses, vendors, activities, and refreshments. All proceeds from this run will to recreation scholarships to help underprivileged youth in our community stay active in affordable recreation programs.

The run will take place on Saturday, September 7 at 8am at PC MARC and finish at The Fieldhouse.

Cost is $30 ($15 for runners under 18 years old).


Ski Conditioning Fitness Program

While the snow seems far away, it will be here before you know it. Start the season ready to conquer the mountain. The Ski Conditioning Fitness Program is designed for safe pre-season training. You will develop speed and power through plyometric drills, agility and balance courses, and strength exercises. This program will challenge you to reach your peak fitness, as well as prepare your body and mind for all of the fun winter activities.

When: October 1-November 26
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 6:30am-7:30am
Location: The Fieldhouse turf field
Cost: $170
