Trails & Open Space

Whether you are visiting the Snyderville Basin area, or are lucky enough to call it home, it is hard to dispute the beauty all around us. Basin Recreation is always looking for ways to get people outside, appreciating this fantastic little corner of the world. To that end, Basin Recreation owns and manages nearly 2,000 acres of open space, has built and/or maintains over 170 miles of trails and works with Summit County and state and local organizations on planning and conservation issues. Our trails and open space parcels are varied and each unique. We encourage you to get out and explore – you are sure to find your own favorite spot.

If you are an organized group, commercial enterprise, tour, or event, you must contact Nichole Wilson at nichole@basinrecreation.org or (435) 649-1564 Ext. 133 to obtain a permit.
