NEW Community Park
Basin Recreation is excited about its newest planned community park! In 2019, the District acquired the 68.52-acre parcel located on the northeast corner of Silver Creek Parkway and Trailside Drive through a generous grant by Summit County. Basin Recreation intends to develop a 10-acre park and program the remainder of the property as recreational open space with trail opportunities.
The park includes two multipurpose fields, two pavilions, 118 parking stalls, a restroom, and is located across the street from Trailside Park. Construction of the park is planned to begin and conclude in 2021. Please view the site plan and concept map for more information.
As part of the due diligence for this project, the District has engaged consultants to prepare (1) a baseline study to evaluate soil types, ecosystem types, plant community, and a wildlife habitat on the property; (2) a traffic study to analyze traffic flow in the area; and (3) an Aquatic Resources report.
